Word from the Chairman:

Three hundred years ago, the Ketagalan lived in Beitou. Three hundred years later, the Taipei basin has become the living space for diverse ethnic groups. Although Ketagalan culture has since gradually faded, Indigenous families who moved here have contributed greatly to local aboriginal culture. The Ketagalan Culture Center was set up so that aboriginal culture can take root and develop here in Beitou District and so that Indigenous families in the area can have a sense of belonging.

Since the understanding of aboriginal cultural heritage and preservation is not easy, the Ketagalan Culture Center was established to do the work of cultural preservation and collection of ethnic clothing apparel and crafts. The museum provides an intellectual space for all, so tribesmen can get involved in his or her own spare time with the arts and treasures that this center provides.

We will actively promote with cultural events and special exhibitions for the public as well as leisure travelers and visiting friends. We expect the Ketagalan Culture Center to be the center of marketing and promotion for Indigenous culture.
