| “Atayal rainbow bridge growing continually -Milu Hayong” |

This exhibition mainly concentrates on pastel drawings which present the connotation of the Atayal culture and mysteries and show the Atayal spirit on the works as well. The creator considers that aborigines have a fear of nature, because they knew that the human being can’t control over the nature forever and can’t predict further changes, either. Thus, only by means of guarding this beautiful land, the relationship between the human being and nature can be continued. The creator expresses how those who live in mountains treat their live by his works; moreover, he also showed what he heard, what he saw, and what he experienced on the works, which presents the traditional and modern living style of the Atayal.
About Milu Hayong
Mr. Milu Hayong is from Atayal, Fushing Township, Taoyuan County. He has been fond of painting since he was a child. Although most people believe it is difficult to make a living by being a painter, his family still supported and encouraged him a lot.
During school time, he had been brilliantly displayed his talent on paintings. However, actually, he was studying in a private vocational school, so his parents used to work hard for tuition. During that period, there were indeed lots of miserable memories for them.
After Mr. Milu Hayong graduated from school, he only could make use of off work time to do painting, which made his passion for painting die down gradually and even have the idea of giving up doing painting. However, from his bottom of heart, he still didn’t want to give up.
Mr. Milu Hayong believed that it was God making him endowed with this ability. If he couldn’t make good use of it, it would be a pity! Thus, he decided to go on this way. He would interpret every growing stage by painting and he considered it would be a brilliant life.
