Ketagalan Culture Center

There are not any characters in aboriginal culture, so the aboriginal culture and historical sites were handed down by word of mouth. With the impact of dominant culture, Taiwanese aboriginal culture has been declining gradually. In order to preserve aboriginal traditional culture, the concept of aboriginal culture taking root in life was brought up. This plan aims at instilling the concept of aboriginal culture and history into the participating students by face-to-face tour guide. The main idea of aboriginal culture taking root in life series activity this year which follows that of last year focuses on making the students get acquainted with themselves and arouse their identification with Taiwan as well.
Target group:
Kindergarten and elementary school students.
Contents:
1. Legends of 14 tribes.
2. Culture introduction to Gaoshan tribes.
3. Legends of the Ketagalan.
4. The origin of the naming “Ketagalan Culture Center”.
5. The origin of the naming “Beitou”.
6. Dispatching the story handbooks.
7. Completing the worksheets.
8. Trivia game.

(Each class with the minimum of 15 people and the maximum of 60 people)
